Meet the photographer behind the lens

Hi there! I'm Cindy, dog mom, animal lover and pet photographer. Sunnie Days Pet Photography was named after my sweet Pomeranian Sunnie. She was my heart dog and my little ray of sunshine who gave me beautiful love and companionship during our 14 1/2 years together. She is now frolicking with Angels and will live in my heart forever and always.❤️ I miss her sweet sassy face everyday and treasure the memories of her that live through the beautiful photos I have displayed in my home.

Two things that I am completely obsessed with in life-Animals and Photography. Combine those two together and I am in my extreme happy place! I have loved and adored all animals since I can remember and I simply crave to be artistic. Photography became an extension of my love for creating art. My compassion for animals and passion for photography became a love affair. So it was an easy choice deciding to focus my artistic endeavours on Pet Photography which just made simple sense.

With a display of patience and kindness, giving them the freedom to experience the journey at their own comfortable pace, I am able to capture beautiful integral moments of your best friend while they enjoy being the star of the show. Working with animals has always been easy for me with the innate sense and compassion I have along side them. Having been the owner and operator of a dog walking/pet sitting business for many years, I offer you extensive experience caring for and handling pets of all kinds. This combined with my photography and editing skills obtained through years of studies and having been mentored by some of the best in the pet photography industry, as a multi award winning pet photographer, I have all that it takes to be your pet's photographer. It would be an honour to help you celebrate your best friend.

A few more tidbits about me

  1. I am crazy for Pomeranians.
  2. My dog Sunnie was named after my Dad who's nick name was Sonny.
  3. When I was a young kid I was notorious for bringing home stray or sick animals, large and small.
  4. I dabble in all sorts of creativity including drawing, oil painting and interior decor.
  5. Did I say I am crazy for Pomeranians! :)
  6. For much of my life I dreamed of going to Africa. Well guess what-it happened! I experienced the most amazing and exhilarating 14 day trip of my life and saw an abundance of wildlife including trekking the rainforest of Rwanda to see the magnificent mountain gorillas as well as safari adventures throughout Kenya where I saw so many magnificent animals. Africa stole my soul and I yearn to return.
  7. I also own and operate a pet sitting business called J. Mayes Pet Pal Services where I get to spend quality time caring for dogs, cats and other critters.
